What's indicative is there's still woke shit coming through the pipeline that began production years ago that's full of DEI mandated pandering. The writing is on the wall and those with any sense are trying to downplay and deny it as much as they can, but as we saw here the lies just create more resentment. Had Varva admitted that the gay shit and black muslim were shoehorned in to satisfy the minimum of DEI requirements given by the new owners, people would still have been disappointed but we wouldn't be seeing the open revolt we are. Though, I doubt he would be able to admit as much without getting fired immediately.
What pissed me off the most in certain Anime circles is exactly that. Two men who are friends? Gay bois. Seems, they have retarded fangirls working on KCD2 now...
At least in the anime circles there is an actual audience who spends a lot of money for them to be pandering to. Fujos are rabid and retarded, but they do make up a market demographic, even if I wish they would all die.
Woke pandering doesn't have that benefit, because their people don't ever buy these products in any appreciable manner. Its why they need funds from outside groups to sustain them even when they should sell gangbusters based on all other factors.
Fujos got their own little series no one gives a flying fuck about, they should leave it there. We don't need to see those ships in say shounen. It's what turned me off of MHA(alongside the meh writing): the Fandom's just too fucking annoying and literally everywhere. I feel like that's what normal people felt like when bronies were everywhere years ago.
That was the entire appeal to me. Have a game about camaraderie in a medieval setting.
Oddly enough, game developers understood this to some extent. ME had Garrus, NWN2 had Khelgar, DA:O had Alistair etc. They had gay stuff in it but they understood that camaraderie and male friendship does not work if you add a sexual component but "the based" developer can't understand this.
