I bet the establishment are REALLY wishing the just let him win in 2020 as holy crap has it been a ride and not even been a week!
Seems not only has Trump got a team to target the areas needing addressing (which is the majority of the government) but also apply the tactic of just overwhelming the establishment with constant executive orders which means they just can't fight them all and every one of them is getting acted on at once.
And results speak for themselves, they're too busy fighting birthright citizenship they can't successfully impede deportations. They were so trying to push the 'Elon did a Nazi salute' that Trump already pardoned all the J6 hostages. He's moving too fast for a successful resistance and thanks to that I think it's why he got Hegseth confirmed.
This seems to be the best tactic against the left and globalists elites, just keep pushing relentlessly with all the power you can till they exhaust themselves.
It's his first week so he deserves some slack, but ICE has been bragging about apprehending roughly 500 illegals a day since inauguration.
Unless they seriously ramp up those numbers into the thousands, the math doesn't work out.
500 x 365 is less than 200k a year. And that's assuming every single one actually gets deported and doesn't slip back in.
Operation Wetback got a couple million in the 1950's, they goddamn better get more than that these days.
The nice thing is that as long as ICE is working, it will have a multiplicative effect on self-deportations.
Also, any funding that he can cut for these free housing and replenishable debit cards will similarly lead to self-deportations.
Also also, having the border closed so that the problem isn't constantly getting worse will also help immensely,
Yeah, that's a good point. It's a start, but they can do much better.
That said, one of the big points is shifting the attitude. If we can get people to self-deport, and to stop coming, that's a huge difference. Now, that's still going to be done better by larger numbers of deportations, but even the very visible show of deporting people again should discourage more. But, yeah, get those numbers up, those are rookie numbers.
Though if you want an encouraging sign of his commitment to deportations, look what happened to Colombia just now, it was literally FAFO in under an hour..
