Media and academia turned WW2 into the founding myth of the west. The Jews weren’t just temporary victims of a certain time and place, no, they are the only victims that ever mattered and also metaphysically good. The Nazis weren’t just villains of a certain time and place, no, they are the archetypal metaphysical evil; all bad guys must essentially be Nazis. There’s no proportion, no perspective, no context. Ukrainians starved by communists? Doesn’t matter. Armenians genocided? Doesn’t matter. Mao killed 20+ million people? Doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the war with white bad guys and Jewish good guys.

While the Nazis were definitely villains and bad on their own terms, the only reason normies believe that the Nazis were bad, is because the television tells them that they were bad. If you tell them that Nazis were good guys because their massacres decreased climate change, as they do with Genghis Khan, they'd repeat that as well. If you tell them that Nazis are good because they defend a corrupt, puppet shithole non-country against Russher, they'll repeat that too.
