The moment the first woman did it (and she did so very aggressively), every single one of them was forced to step up and say "I want to fuck this guy more than be a 'good person'" if they didn't follow. If they didn't pop it, they feared there would be heavy social consequences and that was worth giving up everything offered otherwise.
Its why every fucking "not like other girls" form is the exact fucking same type of woman. Because even in "rejecting" trends and norms, they still need social consensus and uniformity.
And once you recognize this gender dichotomy, you can see how its become so prevalently dominant across all aspects in our society. From "ratios and likes" being markers of value to needing a source (aka outsourced consensus) for basic reality, one of the reasons why everything is so shit across every avenue of modern life is because its become female oriented.

The study participant would be a woman who thinks she’s playing this game. The man (also a confederate) would pop the troon’s balloon and then, each time the study is repeated with a different participant, you’d have a different number of confederates pop their own balloons.
Your prediction (and I tend to agree) is that a participant woman would be far less likely to pop her own balloon when none of the confederates do so.
I bet placement matters too, the ones next to the troon will probably feel more visible and be more likely to try to fit in than ones further removed. Should mess with that too.
