Taiwan doesn't have all of our politicians in their pocket, neither did they use their lobbying power to make criticizing and boycotting them illegal in 30 states and counting, and they certainly didn't entertain implementing DNA requirements as part of obtaining citizenship there. They also didn't sell American technology secrets to the Chinese, nor send weapons obtained by American foreign aid to countries with their own axe to grind (see also: majority-Muslim Azerbaijan's invasion of majority-Christian Armenia), nor openly attack an American warship with zero consequences (USS Liberty).
The Nation-State of Israel (specifically spelled out to differentiate from the Kingdom of Israel of the Old Testament ~3000 years ago) has done all these things and more, and you should know that the time of the Democrats and NeoCon warhawks selling our country to foreign interests (China, Ukraine, and especially Israel) will be coming to an end, and that it will good thing for Americans in the long run.

I oppose funding Taiwan but support funding Israel. Taiwan is not separate from China, no more than Ukraine is separate from Russia. The difference here is that Taiwan is a highly successful state and does right by its people, while Ukraine is a total mess.
