I don't think it's all that different from the balaclava that Administrative Results used to wear or Print Shoot Repeat still wears. Anonymity online is a good thing.
Its just streaming with the facecam replaced with a 3d model.
People associate a lot more with it because the biggest names are basically being run by Japanese companies who are crossing it over with the Idol industry, which is a whole different can of worms.
