Apparently the university just erased his biography from their website.
And the NHK (tv station unrelated to the university) removed a program they made about Yasuke.

Lockley's profile is still there on website of Nihon University. His papers for non-Japanese aren't passed peer review.

To be fair to the inaccurate headline, Yasuke's "truth" was based on one person, Lockley's, inaccurate headlines, too, so while yes, this is fake news (or at least poorly translated news), we can "localize" it into saying that, yes, he totally for realzies was fired, just like Yaaske was totes a samurai.

This dude probably does more damage other than Yasuke. I was at the bookstore yesterday and saw a book written by him placed front and center. Also about seemingly obscure historical events so who knows how much he made up for that one.

They just removed his biography. They haven't cleaned the place of the falsified history yet.
