Tower of Time, if you haven't played it please try it. I think it is the type of game that you would like. Has nice interesting characters, gameplay has a learning curve but becomes a bit boring later in the game, interesting story and a cool setup.
Another mention is Lords of Xulima, it is a great game but you need to give it a try and has a bit of a learning curve as well.
Septera Core was fun back in the day, I wish more games combined combat with walking puzzles and adventure.
If you like portal there is also Magrunner, similar setup but darker without the companion cube.
Binary Domain, nothing spectacular but I enjoyed it a lot. It tried to have speech recognition and give commands to your companions, great idea but the technology was not there.
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is so much fun, it is not your average hack and slash, you use the environment and spells like make ice on the ground so that enemies slip off a clif.
Legacy of Kain - just loved this series, dark and very interesting both mechanical and story. Kain is one of the best characters.
Drakan Reign of Fire - was Tomb Rider but with dragons and you had flight fights with other dragons. It was just awesomeness
Arcanum - in the same feel as BG2 but the world setup and mechanics are different and the music is haunting. A bit of rough edges on companions, only a few are interesting or even voiced but other then that is such a great game.
Myth Fallen Lords, this one took the strategy angle in a different direction, great story, great mechanics, horrible controls, abysmal camera angles. It has so much potential, even today if you fix the camera and make the controls be more responsive and it is great.
Clive Barker's Undying - it is a great game, a bit for horror in the first chapter but then it becomes very much action. It has a great setup, great villains, great atmosphere. Graphics are good enough to play.
Star Wars Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy - both great, kind of clumsy on controls but plays very classical SW. Jedi Outcast had a surprise, you started as non-force user doing missions using weapons and then you get your force connection back and bam superhero. Also Luke makes appearances without drinking green milk from fat alien tits.
Multiple times. Katarn got his lightsaber back from him, and also coordinated with him during multiple operations against Desann and Galak Fyyar. And he may have shown up during the attack on Yavin.
Anyone interested in playing this classic should look at Project Magma, whose emulation of Myth II can load The Fallen Levels, which allows a playthrough of the first game's content as a mod for Myth II.

In his classic black tunic, instructing at his Jedi Academy, on Yavin IV. A little bit overdone when it comes to his calmness, but still passes.
I remember he appears in Jedi Outcast as well, don't remember where exactly.

Nice visuals but pretty hard. I got stuck and never finished.
You had to bump speed on every levelup and it becomes to easy.
Seconding Myth: the Fallen Lords.
