Even if the affair accusations were true, which I doubt for the same reasons as razorfist, non-NPCs wonder what the alleged crime is even supposed to be here. Who is the victim? "Hush money" makes it sound like he was covering up some crime, but when you look into the details it's only that he supposedly used campaign money to pay a woman to agree to not talk to the media. Surely if that's illegal it's one of those campaign finance laws that only slaps you with a fine for most people. Why would someone as wealthy as Trump need to do that, and how would you prove it? Don't candidates loan themselves money from their campaigns all the time? (looking at you Bernie)
Meanwhile, these same people are covering up the blatant misuse of campaign funds by Fani Willis.
or menendez's entire existence.
i heard some retard on the tv whining about santos as if anyone cares about him outside of his ouster being hypocritical.
If you tell a conservative that someone used his money to try to get elected, they're not gonna get mad. Essentially, only leftists care about campaign finance law. Its imposition was supposed to be a leftist thing that would level the playing field between candidates. Which obviously didn't happen. They try to blame "Citizens united" , but that's just money finding an outlet. Like water finding a way through dam.
