I tried forcing myself to play GTA V Online ( specifically online ) again just recently, it was a mistake and I hate these fuckers who try and hype it up, they're liars and they always leave out the garbage code and design in online. Even though they did somewhat fix the loading screen, it's not as bad as I remember, it's still a major problem with the game. I know randoms will always have a bad reputation but I'm most astounded at how utterly incompetent they are which is why I'm inclined to avoid co-op in general because of this. Maybe duos, because then there's a slightly better chance you'll run into someone with a brain than four players but holy shit.
Also tried to force myself to play PUBG, at least I could do that solo but what's hilarious is they've switched to a new engine allegedly and it still runs like shit because the map is way too big for the type of game it is. If the game was smaller then players would more easily encounter each other and you could get in and out of deathmatches a lot faster especially on solo mode it might be enjoyable but no.
Normies should feel bad for the games they play, at least I can somewhat understand the Sims 4 and Stardew Valley because that's something you can relax to but most of these multiplayer games almost seem designed to be shit on purpose. I know GTA V definitely is because it's just crappy elimination and heist missions with laser targeting NPCs and they even have a cooldown on missions you can complete solo in order to force you through their bullshit. The online portion of GTA V is all about trying to make the grind as painful as possible so you shell out your money to buy in-game items.
I thought I'd save you guys some time in case any of you got any ideas of trying to see why people were playing these titles like I did.
Tbh I tried to bully you out of your porn addiction and you just blocked me lol. You probably won't even see this comment.
Yup, Lethn is the normie that needs bullying.
Lethn thinks the UK conservative party is right wing.
ok that's a pretty hefty accusation of retardation, did he actually say that?
I came here to say, "but you are a normie."
Blocks only prevent posts from showing up. Comments still show.
They already indirectly bully themselves by playing absolute garbage.
If they're going to fuel the shite machine by putting money into games which last a couple of years tops; or games which are broken and won't get fixed then the deserve everything they get.
Meanwhile I'll just sit here and play passion projects by a handful of developers which have been going, and will keep going for years more. Because unlike mainstream companies they actually care about what they're making.
It's all about getting you to give them your money. How can you show off your hot new Litlpeni Cuntesh, well you can play 4000 hours of mind-numbing missions or you can give us your money. Buy all these shitty skins because they will not be sold again for two years and even though they look like ass everything will think you are cool for having a rare skin. Idk about PUBG, but I'm sure there's some way to extract your money from you there. No one plays for fun anymore, it's all about ego, either from stomping people that aren't even good at the game or throwing their money at it to show off.
Probably because I don't have personal addiction problems and I also don't feel the need to show off to people like that but I've never understood the appeal. I think I once paid a very low amount of money to Planetside 2 just to confirm the suspicions I had about the maths about games like it and it confirmed every prejudice anyone's ever had about these games. People who talk this shit up can honestly fuck off out of gaming, I hate them and they belong in rehab with the other drug addicts.
The best thing GTA Online did was finally allow private lobbies. I had stopped playing by then. Sadly, you still need at least 2 in it for them to exist.
Before then you had to use your OS to suspend the GTA Online executable and then unsuspend it to get your own temporarily private lobby until it cycled back into the available ones. From what I remember, the busy-ness of the servers dictated how fast it would be cycled back into the list. Anywhere from 15 minutes at peak times to a few hours on slow days.
There shouldn't be any lobbies, you should be able to host a 4 player co-op listen server from your own install of the game. You know, like PC games used to be able to do before designing to consoles became the dominant practice in the industry. /rant
PC games started abandoning stand-alone servers long before cross-platform console ports became the norm.
Agreed. We should still be able to have player run servers for games. There can be an official page for servers, and an unofficial server page for the player run ones. I mean put a warning that the game content may change and all that, just like they did way back in Medal of Honor Allied Assault. Where people can run custom game rulesets.
I also agree with the other part. You should just be able to jump in and play, with friends or just alone if you felt like it. I haven't had the game installed in about 3 years, so I don't know what it's like now. Also calling it a lobby is my mistake. It's technically more set up like the xbox 360 used to be. Get friends together and jump into a game together.
I assume you can just friend only or lock the pre game setup ahead of time now. But I have no interest in installing GTA V just to see if that's the case.
