I hope it does well, highly unlikely I play it anytime soon without a PS5 and no plans to get one.
What I really can't tell is if the actual game is mainstream enough to get a lot of people to play it. Is it a soulslike? That's what it seems like to me. It's hard to tell from the gameplay I watched, because well if it's played by someone who is actually good at these games then it doesn't look difficult. I'd be thrilled with a Bayonetta-esque button masher.
Sony will have it for a few months exclusive, then we get a PC port.
There's too much money lying on the table to forever leave it a console exclusive. Since they had enough sense to get this game, they can't be THAT retarded.
They've gotten a lot better about bringing games to PC and even DRM-free on GOG, which I never expected. So if it ends up looking fun to me I'm sure I'll play it eventually.
I would imagine so, Sony is finally starting to realize how much money they’re leaving on the table by keeping their games exclusive, plus PC gaming is huge in Korea. I’ll bet it comes to PC in a year.
Those official controllers are so fucking fragile. Triggers go bad, battery won’t hold a charge, rubber on the thumbsticks wears out. And you get to pay a premium for them, too! But hey, if you’re a scummy bastard who gets an off brand replacement your PS4 nags you about having unofficial hardware.
The one and only time I ever commented on a Kotaku article was back when Mad Catz was trying to turn around their reputation and produce high end controllers for the fighting game community. Kotaku had a puff piece about how great these new controllers were. I asked how much they were paid for the advertisement. They banned me.
That's just sad. The first-party Pro controllers for the Switch are easily the most comfortable controllers I've ever held, and they're extremely well built.
I never use the joy cons so never ran into the "drift" issue.
Wow, I have the complete opposite opinion of the Switch Pro controller.
Other then its good battery life, it feels cheap, the buttons are bad, D-pad is atrocious.
Joy Cons are worse though just because of their tiny size, I just can't use them for more then like 30 mins without cramps.

It looks more DMC/Bayonetta to me, and a bit of Metal Gear Rising with all the parrying. I think I’ll pick up the demo after work.
I wouldn't call it a soulslike, it is more Sekiro-like than anything but I guess that's in that category.
I'd put it more in bayonetta/dmc vein myself, after watching some combat.
Dumb question but will this ever be available on Steam?

Anybody tried the Demo yet?
Fleekazoid made a pretty entertaining video on the demo
The parry sounds are crisp AF
I found the architecture to be particularly compelling
Oh yes, the ladders are well constructed 😏
I only have a ps4 with a broken controller, if I had a ps5 I would try it.

I bought a third-party Xbox controller for my PC, and it was surprisingly not shit. Not like the Mad Catz controllers of old.

Going gold? I haven’t heard that term in awhile. With Steam early access, terms like going gold seem archaic now.
Going to wait for this to come out on PC. By then we'll know for sure if the Stellar Blade devs are based or if they end up bending the knee.
They have that many foids on the dev team?! Huh... And i was led to believe no woman wanted to touch this game 🤔
