I'm going to ignore the darky and instead ask. Wtf is going on with that power armour? Not in Fallout 1 to 4 and I'll even throw in tactics has it been depicted to have a removable faceplate.

TV happened. Audiences "need" to have emotional connection to characters. Showing faces supposedly helps with that.

Whenever this gets brought up, I always refer back to Dredd (2012) with Karl Urban. He never showed his face, except for the constant scowl on the lower half, and he was still able to convey tons of emotion and subtlety. There's also lots of examples of robots and non human characters in scifi media that are able to convey quite a lot, and many of them don't even have faces.

The only thing that makes sense is that the actors are narcissists that demand their face be shown.

That probably happened precisely because of the Sly Stallone version here he did remove the helmet.

It’s the lazy way to do it. Theater used to involve masks long ago and the actors did a perfectly good job captivating the audience. The problem is that the average braindead moviegoer needs to see a face 24/7 or else they’ll get lost

I'm guessing it's more actors wanting to show their faces than an audience problem.

The Mandalorian effectively got around this. The problem was, they got lazy with it and just had voice overs with a stand in actor.

Lol liev Schreiber no talent brother, took off helmet in halo all the time, still can't portrait any emotional connection
