I thought he was already selling merch of his mugshot on things like shirts and mugs, or were they all unofficial merch?
Still find it funny how MUCH that backfired on them and they didn't see it coming.
It was a stupid idea then and it is an even more stupid idea now.
Trump needs to show to the country that the Democrats are weaponizing the law against him and that this is a serious abuse of power by them.
Trump selling the mugshot and trying to make money off it undermines his argument of how serious the Democrat's weaponization is.
He needs to play the role of a persecuted man not a troll if he wants to win the general in 2024.
I just want to emphasise how much the Democrats and establishment have screwed themselves currently:
• America is stuck with the prospect of supporting 3 wars simultaneously (Ukraine, Israel, Guyana) and if Biden tries to turn a blind eye to the last they lose the Monroe doctrine
• Every Blue city is more lawless than the Wild West
• The left are currently infighting hard and their more financially situated donors (cough Jewish/ pro Israel) are cutting them off for their pro Palestine support
Meanwhile with Trump, he's so far ahead in polling he's the default candidate, everyone knows if he gets back in those wars end immediately and his cases are being destroyed in appeal courts since the higher courts SEE where the wind is blowing and refuse to sign their own death warrants.
At this point, the only way to stop him is to assassinate him, everything else they've tried is failing and we're very quickly approaching the point they can't supplant Biden with another candidate, they've really fucked themselves.
I personally don't trust the polls because I have never trusted ANY poll.
But let's assume that if the polls are correct, this is my biggest fear:
The GOP establishment will force Trump to take Nikki Haley as his V.P. and then they will try to incapacitate him somehow and replace him with her.
Nikki Haley is the most dangerous candidate running for President. She is just as left as Biden on social issues but she is also a bigger corporatist and warmonger than even Biden.
Haley is the WEF's golden girl.
Lara Trump recently said "never say never" on Trump picking Nikki Haley as V.P.
Haley would be way worse than Mike Pence.
Trump has a record of picking the worst people. I pray he doesn't pick this bitch.

I agree in part. I think MAGA is making a mistake by arguing that the indictments actually helped Trump - so that he will win the primary. They actually agree with those persecuting Trump, who argue the same - in order to 'prove' that they are not persecuting him for political reasons. I am not at all sure that this is the case. If indictments did not hurt, they would not be the prime weapon of every autocrat everywhere. But on the other hand, Trump has a way of defying political gravity.
That said, I think the mugshot is a sign of Trump's strength and perseverance in the face of truly insuperable odds. The best part was when The Atlantic wrote a panicky article about how his facial expression was a 'threat', because instead of being humbled and humiliated, as they wanted him to be, he was defiant and feisty.
The first set of NFTs qualifies as fantastic investment, 90% return in one year.
The second series lost maybe 10% of its value over the same time which isn't great but could be a lot worse.
I might just grab a few because they would make great boomercon gifts.

That's the 'Greater Fool' argument for investing. Which is bad when buying stocks, and even worse with things that have no underlying value!
Lots of people vote for Trump, and LOTS OF PEOPLE know about NFTs. Right here in the middle, you know what this is? People who vote for Trump and know about NFTs. THAT'S YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE!
Are there still people who know about NFTs who don't consider them a scam?
We're coming dangerously close to Trump flavored bath water.
Trump is potentially facing serious time in prison over various court cases pushed by the Dems and he is now selling Mugshot NFTs?
Trump needs to take this shit seriously.
Refusing to take it seriously is the smartest move he could make, because everyone knows these indictments are bullshit. That mugshot instantly piled 10 points onto his poll numbers the moment it was released. Why wouldn't he take advantage if it?
That didn't stop them from indicting him, and it won't stop him from going to prison because some NYC or DC jury thinks Orange Man Bad.
Agreed, though I think it was more than the mugshot. And it was just the primary. I see no similar spike in the general.
This is downvoted not because it is false, but because it's what people don't want to hear.
However, I don't think he's not taking these ridiculous cases seriously. He has the best lawyers willing to work for the Bad Orange Man working for him, and spending a million a month on his own case as well as that of others.
Trolling won't win him the cases.
His best path to win in the courts and in the court of public opinion is to make the simple argument that the Democrats are weaponizing the law against him and that this is a grave injustice.
Joking around undermines the seriousness of the heinous act that Democrats are doing.
Increased poll numbers in the primary don't mean shit if the Democrats convict him in court or if enough of the American public votes against him in the general election.
Polls are meant to influence public opinion not measure it.
They are meaningless. Trump himself in 2016 called polls suppressive bullshit.
This time around he is shilling the polls because they have him up in the primary.
Selling mugshot NFTs is a very effective way of exposing the political nature of these prosecutions. What you seem to be advocating is for him to play the victim, and that is not a winning strategy. People don't want Trump to be a victim, and they don't want him to combat the establishment using their own rules and language the same way RINO candidates have done for decades. People supported Trump because he stood up in the face of that rhetoric and said, "fuck you. You're stupid. You're fat. You're ugly. You're crooked. You're short and you've got a tiny penis." And he did it in the least intellectualist language he could.
That is why people support him. That is what wins him votes. Engaging with the establishment on their terms instead of his own will only lose him support.
Remember he has to win the court cases and also win the general election.
Being an troll helps with his core base but he also needs independent voters as well to win the general election.
Trump doesn't need to play the victim. He needs to play the role of a serious politician who is unfairly being targeted by the Democrats.
Were Mandela or Gandhi playing the victim? No they called out being persecuted by their nation's ruling authorities and used it to push their cause.
Selling mugshot nfts may elicit cheers from the base but it won't help him win the court cases or convince indie voters to go for him.
I don't want Biden to win a second term and thus I want Trump to maximize his chances.
This NFT mugshot stunt absolutely harms Trump in the court cases and in the general election with indies.
Once again, that is the opposite of his winning formula. A "serious politician" is one who engages with the establishment within their predetermined frame of acceptable discourse. A "serious politician" is one who speaks the pseudo-intellectual managerial language of the elite and the political class because he's hoping for their approval. People are sick of "serious politicians." That is the reason Trump has been so successful.
Do you think selling these is somehow stopping his lawyers from working? Maybe you think the jury will see these and go ahead and vote guilty when they wouldn't have before? Maybe that judge who shit all over his rights will... shit all over his rights more?
