You may wonder what terrible positions she holds to be branded as 'far-left'. Well, brace yourself:

Perhaps surprisingly for a left-wing politician, the economy is the first and most important.

This is surprising in 2023.

“If the economy goes under, you don’t even have to worry about pensions and wages and social benefits,” Ms. Wagenknecht said during an interview in her office last month. “All those things will go under too.”

During the interview, Ms. Wagenknecht was especially critical of the environmentalist Green party, part of the governing coalition, for focusing on things like rules governing the heating of public buildings.

“People think this government is haphazard, shortsighted, plain, incompetent and ideologically driven,” she said, adding, “And that — in fact — is the case.”

On Ukraine:

She has long criticized Germany’s support for Ukraine, especially the 7.4 billion euros worth of weaponry Germany has sent to help in its defense. On Monday, she proposed buying Russian energy directly from Russia again, and decried the billions spent trying to replace Russian gas.

On the left:

Ms. Wagenknecht loves to attack what she calls the “lifestyle left.” She argues that progressives are too focused on diet, pronouns, and the perception of racism, and are not worried enough about poverty and an ever-growing gap between rich and poor.

On immigration:

She says immigration by people who do not have a chance for asylum has gotten out of control. “It definitely has to be stopped because it is completely overwhelming our country,” she said on Monday.

Stop the far-left!

So she is anti-immigration, anti gender ideology and is pro-economy and somehow she is left-wing?
Is this some psyops to get votes away from right-wing groups?

If she parrots all the right-wing talking point while being left wing, she can then make alliances for government with left-wing parties while also taking votes away from right-wing voters.

Is that the plan or do I need to take my tin-foil hat off?

It may have negative or positive effects overall for the 'right-wing' group (singular), but she has been a long-time critic of such stuff (also of coronavirus restrictions): I don't think it's a psy-op.

The problem is that the AfD, Germany's lone 'right-wing'* party, has been so thoroughly demonized that even a lot of people who agree with it 100% won't vote for it. It will take time for that to disappear. If Wagenknecht can come at it from the other side, and get votes from the establishment and break down traditional party loyalties, that is only good.

Of course, everything has its downside, and she has said that she won't co-operate with the AfD. That is bad and good. It's good because it will lead the brainwashed folks to give her a chance when they won't give the AfD a chance. And it lessens the chance of them fishing in the same pond, though she will definitely get some votes from the AfD as well. On the other hand, if the AfD and Wagenknecht get a majority (as polls in at least one state has shown), it will lead to traditional parties still getting to govern - but European politicians aren't exactly known for keeping their word.

So overall, I think this is very good.

* Economically, 'right-wing' parties you guys all cheer for are to the left of the governments. They're right-wing on non-economic issues.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Right-leaning party AfD has been surging in polls lately. This is an attempt to siphon off their voters.

She already said they won't cooperate with the AfD and her co-chair said they would cooperate with the far-left Die Linke. Basically it's nothing but an attempt to dilute votes for parties that are against the current government.

Don't be so surprised - the Nationalist Socialist party was like that too.

It seems like she blends some left wing policies like a strong social safety net with some right wing/nationalist policies such as limited immigration. Hang on, haven't we seen this somewhere before?

She may have some sensible positions but overall she is still just a communist in a fancy dress.

Her purpose is to destroy opposition to the ruling parties. She already succeeded with the far-left Die Linke. Now she's trying to go after the recently successful right-leaning AfD.

Eh, I don't care. Anything that makes it more difficult to form these criminal coalitions is good in my book.

Her purpose is to destroy opposition to the ruling parties. She already succeeded with the far-left Die Linke.

Do you mean that she destroyed Die Linke? Don't they support Ukraine and basically every woke BS out there?

Now she's trying to go after the recently successful right-leaning AfD.

Almost certainly, Wk + AfD will get vastly more votes than AfD alone. Even if AfD gets 30%, which is probably more than what it will get, you can't stop the other criminal parties from forming a government.

It actually makes it EASIER for establishment parties to form coalitions. They just need more seats than the remaining opposition. By splitting the opposition into smaller parts that won't cooperate they can rule with even lower numbers.

Die Linke is dogshit but they did siphon votes off of the other left-wing parties like the SPD and Grüne. Now that the Linke is about to die some votes will be going to them. Several Die Linke politicians already defected to the SPD.

WK + AfD could get 50%+ which is meaningless if WK refuses to cooperate. The remaining establishment parties could form a 4 party coalition and still be able to rule, or they could just invite WK who I doubt would refuse to jump at the opportunity but won't be able to do anything as a junior partner (like the libertarian FDP which is in the current government but gets destroyed because they can't do anything but vote for far-left shit).

The more parties there are in a coalition, the more dysfunctional it is. That has been the saving grace of the current German coalition. Even three parties seems to be too much for Germany standards.

Die Linke is dogshit but they did siphon votes off of the other left-wing parties like the SPD and Grüne. Now that the Linke is about to die some votes will be going to them. Several Die Linke politicians already defected to the SPD.

Right, so why is it bad if Wagenknecht gets some votes from Die Linke, SPD and Gruene? She definitely is less dogshit than Die Linke.

WK + AfD could get 50%+ which is meaningless if WK refuses to cooperate. The remaining establishment parties could form a 4 party coalition and still be able to rule,

Is that better or worse than AfD getting 30% on its own and the establishment parties getting 70%? I'd say it's much better. And imagine for a moment that she goes full establishment. Then she'll just lose her votes.

Again, while I am probably as pessimistic as you, I don't see this having bad outcomes.

like the libertarian FDP which is in the current government but gets destroyed because they can't do anything but vote for far-left shit

And it's a leading cause of infighting and instability in the coalition, which is great.

They still manage to push all their far-left and eco-fascist bullshit through.

Right, so why is it bad if Wagenknecht gets some votes from Die Linke, SPD and Gruene? She definitely is less dogshit than Die Linke.

According to polls she gets more votes from the AfD than all the others.

Right, but my point is that it would be worse if it had been a stronk coalition of SPD and the Greens, like Schroeder's considerably less retarded coalition.

According to polls she gets more votes from the AfD than all the others.

But overall, you still come out ahead.

Germany is not, and will never be a real nation again. Everyone left there is a cuck or SIMP voting for women.
