MSU played a trivia game on their stadium big screen. One of the questions was about Hitler's birth, and they showed a picture of him. This is inappropriate apparently (archive.ph)

They really voldemorting Hitler huh (sorry for the Harry Potter reference but it was either that or a Stalin reference), he was charismatic and arrived at a time Germany was at it's most desperate for direction.

We NEED to learn from history to avoid that situation again, going 'I'm triggered' everytime you learn a dark part of humanity should revoke all rights to vote on the future immediately.

It turns out that putting an end to degeneracy makes people willing to overlook a lot of things.

That's the unfortunate truth, if you put either the world turning into that scene from Event Horizon or giving the keys to power to a madman who would stop that happening, the madman wins EVERY time.

The lesson is, never MAKE a situation where that's an 'either/or' question.

I am reaching that point. It might just take a madman.

Nobody's saying school's shouldn't teach about Hitler, but it's pretty fucked up they put one of the biggest genocidal maniacs in history on the scoreboard for gameday trivia.

Not really as he's a historical figure, so long as it's historical and not currently happening then it's free for use.

Besides he STILL doesn't come close to the commies in terms of genocide, and even during WW2 the Japanese were WAY WORSE. So long as it's just 'when was this guy born' then it's a non issue.

There are kids who come to these games, why are you people having so much trouble thinking we shouldn't be putting Pol Pot pics at a Saturday afternoon college football game???

Like Jesus you guys, go outside and touch some grass- this is a very sane thing to be offended by. It is possible for normal, reasonable people to be offended by normal, reasonable things.

Yes dude please do go fucking touch grass, the only people shitting their pants over “where was hitler born” trivia questions are spastic zionists who think there’s a pogrom hiding in their walls

On what planet is history something to hide from children? Children need to learn from it. Most people alive in the US today were likely taught about ww2 at least in passing in elementary school. No, a random trivia question about a historical figure is not reasonable to break down over, especially at a COLLEGE football game. Even at a little league game this would be fine.
