Yes please continue, when all you leeches and parasites run out of money, then we can purge western entertainment clean of your influence.

Short films sound like fun! As pie in the sky as it is, I actually want to try making a movie myself in a game engine like UE5.

You can count me in there too. Been messing around with Blender and Godot for a while now. I'd really love to see a community of not-woke indie creators spring up, we can all trade assets and tips and tricks and just discuss our work.

I think inside information like Disney has would prove a trend of the value of any particular work going down. More can make content, it's cheaper to make, competition from other countries, people can only view a finite amount and can watch anything they want anytime they want and without paying.

If any show costs too much people will watch something else or pirate.

So studios know they can't commit to paying even the same amount as now. Meanwhile the actors and writers see profits and big executive salaries and think there's a lot of money on the table when really it's just the elites bleeding it dry.

There's no deal to be made. If the actors/writers get a deal they're just hastening their demise.

I hope so. Who really cares? TV is terrible. Movies are terrible. The world would be better without these people and their "work".

Why did the media even report the strike was over if it wasn't definitively over?

The writer's strike was resolved, the actors are still working things out.

I think the writers came to an agreement but not the actors.

The writers caved because they have nowhere near the money actors do. Also, the studios need the writers because even "reality TV" is heavily scripted and they can't even put on that dreck without them -- which is their last refuge for views and ads.

Actually the writers caved because they were told to.

The problem with unions is you have no say in what they do as a member. They do whatever is best for the leaders of the union.

Nobody needs writers, but they needed the AI and streaming payment situations dealt with. That was all they cared about.

Watching actual unscripted reality TV would be hilarious. Most of it would be utterly boring, but that Team Man vs. Team Woman Bear Grylls show would be amazing without the free pig and all the other Hunger Games sponsor gifts that magically showed up for the chicks.

One of the reasons I watch pro wrestling is because you can GUARANTEE there are actual human beings involved.
