This is why boycotts are so successful-
conservatives control the spending in this country.
the woke only control the allowed speech
woke control allowed speech... and government spending, and ESG scores, thus handing money to companies that would otherwise bankrupt themselves for going woke.
But still, boycots can sometimes work. As long as Budlight dosen't do an equivalent of corrupt book deals ( thousands of books nobody wants gets bought by some friend, and most go to the landfill or the incinerator. Gets publicity as a ''best seller!''. )
The woke control the political, ESG, and NGO money spigots, which makes consumer sales kind of moot most of the time.
No, it only makes the effect delayed. ESGbux aren't actually infinite and create a learned helplessness in any company that takes them. They're poison. And as we're starting to see, not even the globalist financiers can keep handing them out. Things are getting very lean very quickly, and once the well dries up, anyone still at it will die unless they start appealing to the masses very, very quickly.
When the well dries up, the ESG people might stop luring with sugar and start threatening with vinegar.
It's a classic, but I will say, it's missing at least 1 panel: The person saying "I don't like thing" infiltrating the company and turning it into a thang.
Unfortuntaely, there is also a third group of bugmen who will buy the thing no matter how bad it is.
For a great example, look at how many people even here bought Starfield despite a history of both being woke and a bad company who makes subpar products.
FOMO overrides principles constantly.
What's Starfield? Some new MMO?
Skyrim in space.
I wonder if Starfield can be ''unthanged''.
Fix the problem of unkillable fuckwits who keep threatening you, eliminate the divershitty and the girlbossing, improve the dialogs ( remove gay and troon content, salvage the bad writting when possible ), etc.
Upload the mod where it isn't going to get banned for Wrongthing ( BasedMods ).
Then again, you'll be left with an inferior ''Cyberpunk 2077 Space expansion pack''.
Yeah it would need a complete engine overhaul. The time, energy, effort and collaboration required to overhaul Starfield to make it a good game could just be put into making an actual good game.
At least to Cyberpunk's credit, the engine was good and there was a nice base from which something decent could be built, CDPR just didn't do it. Starfield? Even if all the woke nonsense was removed, there's just a ton of other limitations on the backend to contend with that just doesn't make it worth the time or the effort.
It's just a shit game from what I understand. To paraphrase someone "We wanted Skyrim in space and we got FO4 in space. FO4 sucks and this game sucks"
Well there's a mod that removes the blakks, so that's a start.
How did I not think of this before? Brilliant.
This except the first panel never happens.
