Ottawa school trustee Nili Kaplan-Myrth’s “far-right” smear is baseless and defamatory. Her block of @elie_mcn’s email shows she’s unwilling to respond to good faith media requests. We’ll continue to ask for comment when we report on her, because it’s the responsible thing to do.
Nili Kaplan-Myrth chose last year to become an elected official. As a trustee who is paid by taxpayers, she is not above scrutiny from the media. Her conduct continues to be unbecoming of a public official. I will not be bullied into not writing about her & the board.
