I still think this is entirely related to the election in America, though you'll see some influencers copying us trying to push panic on people there too, it won't be anything like blue states in the US.
I don't want to give too much away here, but I'm in Johnson County in Kansas.
This area has a reputation for being rather left wing and populated by NPR listening and BLM loving limousine liberals, but the fear doesn't seem so strong here thankfully.
Out of every 30 people, I'd say only 2 of them are wearing a mask (they're just the usual suspects- Democrats and MSM supporters), and the county government has been surprisingly quiet about "cases" so far.
I hope that means that there are more people done with all the pandemic LARPing than I think and that people have been very vocal about that.
This is why I think it's so important that we keep finding stories about the attempted COVID 2.0 rollout, mocking and deconstructing them, and vocally opposing any mandates. We could very well have the power to shut this down!
Ireland is attempting to ramp things up. The establishment and the normies here basically live as a satellite state of the USA and the health institutions (eg. care homes) are bringing back masks, albeit so far only for workers. However it's very difficult for Ireland to go full retard if the UK stays relatively calm, as was demonstrated when Boris lifted restrictions in 2022 and it immediately nuked Ireland's vaxxpass momentum.
Even though I'm in a red state, there's quite a lot of temporarily embarrassed boomer Blue Dog Dems, boomer neo-cons, plus a not insignificant number of leftists coming in from the colleges and straight into the healthcare, gov, and educational institutions. All these groups are starting to work themselves up over the coof. I'm hearing from family and colleagues about how they're canceling trips, starting to mask, all that craziness, regardless of age or political party.
I am not convinced people will ignore whatever mandates come in from on high.
