That made me laugh out loud. Thankfully it was written in 67. If it was done today either he would pass on the costume to a much more capable female or be broken down and given encouragement by a spunky teenage girl

EDIT; if you’re interested, the Spider-Girl comic by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz is about Peter Parker’s spunky teenage daughter and is very good.
Mayday is one of the few individuals I don't see legacy comic readers having an issue taking Peter's mantle.
Unfortunately the current Spider-Man comics are either Dan Slott shoehorning Silk into the spotlight over Peter, Wells writing absolute garbage to the point ASM #26 is considered one of the worst Spider-Man comics ever despite only being 2 months old, and numerous random alternate Spider-Man variants such as Spider-Man India which launched recently, or that female, wheelchair bound version.
The renumbering these days is so fucking annoying. Back in my day when I bought Spider-Man 400 it was actually the 400th issue!
I have some of those spider girl comics and like them. I have no problem with female characters but I think they have pushed girl power to the max and it hurts female characters when they are perfect or only exist to tear down men. What happens when people enter the comic book world who hate comic books
If it was done today today spiderman would apologize for misunderstanding kingpins violence as just him acting out for not being recognized as trans then spiderman would blow him cause fuck apiderman he's always been gay. Nice comic tho
A friend of mine works at a storage unit and he got a comic collection from an abandoned storage locker. He was going to sell them and asked me for some help since he is clueless about comics. I simply asked for a vintage comic as payment for going through them all. This is what I picked. Been wanting this one a long time

This obviously proves Rippaverse is charging too much because this classic comic was only 12 cents. Dude just needs to cut costs and sell out of his bedroom.

I gave up on modern marvel/dc. Spider-Man and Superman are my favorites so those were the last two modern comics I still read and I gave up on them in 21. Have they improved at all?
No, not in the slightest.
Edit: OK that's not entirely true, sometimes the art is good. However other times it's Greg Land and other meme tier "artists".
