The BBC version of The Silver Chair, is an accurate adaptation, though it has a cheesy, children's theater quality that isn't for everyone. There are BBC adaptations of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardobe, Prince Caspian, and Voyage of the Dawn Treader too.
I thought it was Voyage of the dawn treader that failed (I don't even remember watching that film now that I think about it)
wasn't part of the issue that there were some writers strikes as well?
I vaguely remember they wanted the actors to be the right age for their characters as they played them so there was going to be a few years between films anyway (the horse and his boy takes place between the defeat of the white wich and the end of the lion the witch and the wardrobe) but i think the strikes and dawn treader doing bad stopped all that
I remember the 1989 prince caspian BBC TV adaptation being OK (if really low budget and its obvious half the cast are people in fur suits). Never saw wardrobe dawn treader or silver chair though
Hollywood is slowly being starved back into remembering that they are only as good as their last performance, so if the "ubiquitous girls toy as written by feminists" film does not perform, will she still keep the deal?
I think not and point to the violently fluctuating Disney property slate as evidence of my claim. It was fashionable to "girlboss" it up for a time, but the money for such ideologically driven vanity projects is drying up and reality is setting back in.
Cause in the end, it doesn't even matter? -this was me being funny but I totally understand what you're saying, and will keep on keepin on and wish the same for you friend.
Wow I didn't realize Azlan was a heckin villain this whole time- the witch was just fighting climate change and will be played by Selma Hayek
It's too bad they never got to do The Silver Chair and The Last Battle, as those were the best books.
But now this is a sign that never means never.

True. As long as you get the Puddleglum speech right, we're good. Greta Gerwig will fuck it up... And probably give the speech to Jill Pole anyway.
Sigh...will this madness ever ends?
What incentives are in place that would end it?
Oh man, I can hear the bitter bullshit ranting about Susan in the conclusion from across the frigging continent.
Why did the Prince Caspian movie fail?

The Wardrobe TV adaptation (I guess from that same series. Didn’t know it, i.e. the adaptations, was a series, tbh!) is great.
Would highly recommend.
I did find that on youtube yesterday and gave it a bit of a watch
I had somehow completely forgotten that The Voyage of the Dawn Treader even GOT a movie.
It was a terrible adaptation. That's the long and short of it. Prince Caspian wasn't great either, but Dawn Treader had no idea what it was doing.
Yeah, that'll do it.
Though knowing what I know now, I wonder if Dawn Treader was deliberately sabotaged.
AAAAHHHHH Can't stand it
Honestly asking. I saw Lion in theaters, and never got a chance to see the second film, so I have no opinion on it.

Why not just make a Golden Compass movie that isn't terrible?
They made a TV series, in case you were unaware.
so, how is the butcher job going to go this time... i recently finsihed my back catalog of books funny enough, anyone know some good ones?
Dosadi Experiment.
Tony must've not been in the mood to also drop a comment.
RELIGION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!
I may vomit 🤢🤢🤮
