Eh, I think he did kill himself. He was probably told that either he offs himself or his loved ones (assuming he was capable of love) start mysteriously disappearing. Not to mention what they'd bribe his fellow prisoners to do to him. Suicide was the best course of action for him. If he had testified he'd probably have ended up getting tortured every day until he finally died.
If that were the case, why not make sure to get it on video so that they can wash their hands of it? Instead, the security camera footage mysteriously stopped working and the guards were asleep (or whatever the story was) so we have no actual evidence that would clear the people who supposedly told him to kill himself...? It makes no sense.
And even if he did kill himself "voluntarily" because he's being blackmailed ... that's not voluntary!
Cameras generally don't point inside prison cells. The ones in the prison he was at didn't. They wouldn't have seen anything at all if he had killed himself - which, according to the official release, is exactly what they found. Only one of the cameras was actually down when he died. The other had data on it that was recovered. You don't have to believe the official release, and I don't either without corroborating evidence, but in order for a hitman to infiltrate a prison of all places, there'd have to be a lot more going on than one camera being down. So either way, the cameras were a non-issue.
The guards simply lied about checking on him. Is it really difficult to believe that two black prison guards charged with watching a white millionaire decided not to bother? They couldn't have given two shits about his well being. He's the oppressor after all.
And even if he did kill himself "voluntarily" because he's being blackmailed ... that's not voluntary!
Technically, I never said he killed himself voluntarily. Just that he killed himself.
Not a chance. Not just a physical impossibility, but his attorney even basically said that they were hoping to snitch on people to get off or lighter charges. He was hoping to get a slap on the wrist similar to Maxwell; but whomever might get ratted out decided that that couldn't be allowed to happen.
Not necessarily Clinton, but his suicide is impossible.
Along with the 2 guards and 2 cameras that fell asleep/broke at the same time for the exact same amount of time while he choked himself to death from a 4 foot bedpost with tissue paper.
Seems like having him killed would be about as easy as arranging this coercion.
You gotta get a threatening message into jail. Get some two way, private communication going on. If you're gonna bribe a guard, just arrange for someone to take care of it. Happens in prison and to a lesser extent jail all the time.
