The Acolyte rumors have never made coherent sense. But the announced details are even stranger: I mean, they hired Harvey Weinstein's former bimbo-wrangler to be the Empowered Female Showrunner in the weirdest pseudo-irony imaginable.
So this rumor claims that she was fired, but other accounts assert that the show is in the can and will be released next year. If that is true, then this is not being "fired," as she was a contractor who finished her contract. Is the leaker right, wrong, or just being stupid and overstating something mundane as though it were exciting news? I think we can't be sure.
At this point, I find it difficult to trust anything that claims to be 'behind the scenes' info at Disney because times are so wild over there almost every possibility is on the table for any given day.

What's wrong with that? A guy used his position for sex and suddenly that means he and everything around him is untouchable now? Quite honestly I'd have been happy if he Weinstein was quietly reinstated after everything blew over, he's a kike but the replacement would be as well so what's the difference.
At one point, The Acolyte was rumored to follow a Jedi Master (likely Carrie-Ann Moss) reunited with her padawan (Stenberg) as they solved a heinous crime.
Star Wars was doomed as soon as it changed hands. You can't have Trinity playing a Star Wars character, it ruins the unreality of the world. This wasn't just another Hollywood football you could pass to the next person in line for a favor. MBAs are the death of moviemaking.
Accounting, econ, and finance are the 2nd-4th most common undergrad diplomas held by MBAs, with marketing in 6th; the T25[1] schools might differ. Culturally, the stereotypical MBA is dissimilar to the CPA listed in the phone-book, usually landing in the sales, marketing, finance, or similar deparment of a medium-to-large enterprise. Those that give MBA a bad rep for arrogance, incompetence, and backstabbing don't develop an intrinsic skill-set or start self-funded companies[2]. Instead, they rely on being recruited by an established corporation or leaning on rich-people family connections.
Top twenty-five MBA programs, and what "MBA" is derogatorily referring to in everyday conversation.
How much have they invested, and does it even matter? They memory holed WIllow just six months after release and they have a history of canceling plenty of projects. I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
It was just an example of it still mattering to have something people will watch and that it takes more than just pure politics to exist. I think they fucked up bad casting a tranny actor though, that's the sort of thing that's a no-win situation unless you're making something detached from a franchise that is specifically about a tranny. There was backlash from announcing it, there would be backlash if it's canceled, and it will have an uncanny valley affect for viewers, all for free publicity from some rags that would run an article for what's effectively pocket change.
The worldbuilding is already fucked, they're past the point of no return, and IMO that's even worse for a franchise than beating the audience over the face with a political hammer because it's even harder to recover from ruining the logic and coherency of an IP compared to just making products which are shitty on their own without contaminating everything around them.

I didn't say wrong, I said ironic. They are the ones who crucified him, and his willing and aware partner, they now pretend is a hero to women.
It's easy enough to paint her as a victim as well, she was just desperate to keep her job or whatever.
The only victims in that whole fiasco where the actresses that refused to suck the microdick and were declared to be 'difficult to work with'
I disagree, they only would have even gotten to that point by whoring around or having connections, either way I have no sympathy for them.

MBAs?
Just so we're on the same page...Masters of Business Administration?
Accountants?
Yeah, I can buy that. No passion, only the quick buck.
Responding both to you and the preceding comment:

My mistake, thank you.
I’d like to believe that but Acolyte is the perfect Disney Star Wars show
Oh you sweet summer child; too young to see the prequels come out?
Not likely. With how much they've invested into it at this point, that's only wishful thinking.

Willow was about a mixed race redhead dyke, her insufferable bitchy girlboss partner, and a midget, I'm not so sure.

I believe it as much as the LucasFilm “Civil War,” so not at all.
Holy cow I'm amazed at how much I don't care lmao
In not even a decade Disney completely killed any interest I had in the franchise.
