Poisoning the well is one type of logical fallacy that occurs when negative information about a person is presented to an audience in an attempt to discredit the following arguments made by that person. It’s a variation of the ad hominem fallacy; it attacks directly the source of an argument instead of addressing the argument itself.
I fucking hate these kinds of memes, I hate it when the right wingers do it because they always use the same stock photos as well. What's really been setting my alarm bells off is the right seem to have been steadily losing their sense of humour lately I feel and therefore their ability to produce memes.
Some still have that sense of humour don't get me wrong but I see a returning of cringey humourless neo-con boomerism, tradcon and evangelicals style right wing politics and I hate all of it.
