Funny, because Mad Max Fury Road is probably going to be a better Twisted Metal adaptation than this will ever be, sans having specific favorite characters by name.
Even funnier that that movie tried to be woke and pro-women/anti-man, yet literally every man who watched it walked out the theater screaming "WITNESS" and wanting to be a warboy.
It didn't help that the females were dumber than bricks and immediately 'bankrupted' the outpost when they got control over it (with the dumbest plan imaginable).
The only way the "message" worked is if you assumed the women were innocent and wonderful for simply existing as women, and the men were evil for daring to not be nice to women in times of horror.
It's not unprecedented. In Black he's in the machine by choice, as penance for "allowing" his wife to die. This might take place in the Black continuity. Or it's just a show about a bunch of psychopaths in cars killing each other so the very concept of continuity seems kind of ridiculous.
It’s the hamburger meme all over again…
I liked Twisted Metal back in the day but I would never even consider wasting my time or money on this trash.
Problem is Hollywood is running out of nostalgia to mine and some idiot thought this might work.
Also not that this movie requires talent but Anthony Mackie is a horrible actor.
There is cringe, and then there is Hollywoke cringe.

The editing is a bit annoying, but the Death Race remake was pretty fun if you're looking for something Twisted Metal-like.
There is an impressive amount of electricity powering a defunct Casino in a post apocalyptic wasteland.
I love it when they throw all common sense out the window and put Anthony Mackie as the lead role, makes it easy to skip.
I only ever heard of it because Sweet Tooth was played by pro wrestling great Samoa Joe.
And even though Samoa Joe can talk very well, they STILL felt the need to dub over his voice with Will Arnett.
Why is axel not stuck in his car permanently via his arms?

It's a race-swapped Roadkill.
Somewhere else I saw the thumbnail from the trailer and thought it was a gay porn.
I deleted it from my watch history because the thumbnail is embarrassing.
Twisted Metal is cartoonish, and really needs that aesthetic to work. Also... Cars?
It's going to suck. There's no hope for it. They didn't even reveal a single vehicle.
Also I can't wait for the Twisted Metal character named Twisted Metal to appear like John Halo.
Give me Vigilante 8 or I don’t care, damnit
It never looked promising.
