Wouldn’t expect anything else. When this movie was announced an ex co-worker of mine was upset when I said the race swap was stupid. She sent me the videos of little black girls shouting “she looks like me”. I told her those were most likely staged and that there were videos of black girls saying that isn’t Ariel but of course those didn’t go viral.
The funniest thing was that she said Halle Bailey was the best person according to the director and I had to ask her if she honestly believed that because Disney has shown that they are allergic to casting people who look like the character. She then said I am exhibiting latent racism and stopped talking to me.
The woman in question is racist herself, she knows that everything you said is true, she knows that the "looks like me" is staged, she knows it was race motivated and she clearly wasn't the best cast for the part, she just agrees with the reasons for it. I wish leftists would be honest rather then try to gaslight, I would have a lot more respect for them.
Sheeit, cracka, you wasn't x-hipitin no laytent raysism. That was skrait up raysism. Sheeit.
Yea, she was white.
Then by her logic she should hate the new Ariel?
I didn’t want her head to explode like a robot trying to understand a logical paradox.
Sometimes I wish DeSantis was the dictator that left makes him out to be. Imagine how quickly these problems would be solved if the corpses of their pedophile executives started turning up in ditches and swamps.
That would be a waste of resources. The ones with talent can work off their debt to society. The others... well, there's a new way of fertilization for citrus orchards...
She is simply black now. That's only ever a one way street, because making her white now would be - gasp! - racist whitewashing! It's the true meaning of 'Once you go black you never go back.' It's a ratchet, and it's designed that way.
"imagine if Ariel doesn't look like you"
"what do you mean? She do look like me"
"yes, but what if she doesn't?"
"stahp! I already told you she look like me!"
Joy. As the animated version is many shades darker than even the remake, how will they play up her color and their agenda? Does she twerk or love Atlantica Fried Dolphin? Will the antagonists be bumbling, pale human men fixated on keeping the merpeople of color down? How supportive will she be when Flounder becomes a they/them?
Isn't it more like the "cash grab" is milking Disney?
Watch as Ariel expands her knowledge of black culture by being fucked by whateva nigga is outta jaail dis week.
That's a troll doll.
This just looks absolutely disgusting.
Media make it sound like the new little mermaid is the best thing to happen to black people.. that it rivals the civil rights movement and having the first black president. Lololol.
