If you look at several states governors and state house and senates that joined the confederacy and their disagreements with Jefferson Davis, even the confederate states didn’t agree with each other 100%
The native Americans basically sided with anyone BUT the United States as basically they had land and the Americans wanted that land.
They sided with the British because they were more on trading for the fur trade so were fine with them having their land to keep the trade going
Them siding with confederates is in line with that. Not on the whole 'evil Americans hurting poor natives' train but their whole history started bad and then got worse. Best example of this was the war they had over Florida.
Even I know it wasn't as fucking black and white as 'confederates bad' and I'm British with a pretty basic knowledge of American history, the way they keep trying to oversimplify history this way is disgusting. There was shit that happened in WW2 which was fascinating and would appeal to the left but because they're so fanatical and can't see past their own arse they would never accept it.
Like for example where you've got members of the German army refusing orders by the SS to execute prisoners so they end up siding with the Americans. Takes a lot of balls to do that, but instead the leftists are all "Germans bad, nazis" any time they discuss WW2.
No see because all Indians are wise People of Color and therefore they would never side with the Confederates who were all evil racists.
This is what leftists actually believe.

As wonderfully illustrated by the tug-of-war stonetoss comic/memes.
I’m not sure “annexation” and “autonomy” are words that make sense together. Isn’t that like saying “he agreed to be killed so he could stay alive”?
Leftists love word games.

Leftists like to forget the Union was the same nation that slaughtered the Native Americans, including Wounded Knee.
Big confederate monument near florala Al has all kinds indians and even jews
If there’s one group that should side with the US Government it’s the Indians.
The federal government constantly broke treaties with Indians. Why wouldn’t they side with the other guy in a fight?
I mean Native American did fight for the confederacy. At least some did. Same with some blacks
Makes sense, seeing as how the US Army was killing them wholesale. Why is Ruffled Feathers here looking so butt-hurt?
For Sale at your local Oklahoma Denny's?
Indians continued to own slaves until the 1890s because guess what, they weren't part of America
