Seeing as it was an Imp post, I went and actually skimmed the article looking for the bullshit, because there's pretty much always bullshit in anything this tranny posts... and you won't believe what I found in the middle!

Bolded the important parts for you. A guy started the rumors that eventually led to the victim's (Jack's) suicide, not a girl as Imp claimed and as the other commenters accepted without questioning.
I know it's unpleasant to try to read the overly verbose, pretentious garbage the NYT shits out, but for the love of everything that is holy, learn to skim.

I was watching a lotus eaters clip yesterday, they said an outlet does this, think it was NYT where they will frontload it with all the woke, virtue signalling bullshit but then later after the initial paragraph, they become very factual about the story.
Think that's because leftists (and some on the right) have a short attention span so only check the initial part to confirm if it's 'with us or against us' and then stop reading while everyone else that continues gets the factual content.
Yeah, it's called burying the lede. But that's not the case here, really, because the lede wasn't who started the rumors, the article was just faggotry about the school "accepting responsibility" (by creating some useless positions and programs). It's just that Imp only read the title, his monomaniacal autistic brain made an assumption, posted about it, and everyone else ate it up without questioning. My problem is the last part, the NYT and TheImp both did as expected.
It's a shame because if they removed the retard from these articles they'd be so much better.

Just off the very top of my head. There's so many other ways, too, though. Just to show how numerous they are, here's a few more that immediately occur to me; you could start the rumor about a girl that recently transferred, graduated, or herself committed suicide...obviously due to the grief from [rumor target's] brutal raping of her. And it doesn't even have to be someone who's no longer at the school; you can start a rumor either vague, or about a specific girl and, even if she denies, the rumor is still out there, and many will think she just doesn't want it to be known that she was raped, or doesn't want to be a victim.
