Walsh said, “There are few points that matter, I think, but you won’t be able to hear them if you insist absolutely that no statements even vaguely critical of video games can ever be uttered in your presence. If video games are a religion for you then there’s not much I can say to get through to you.”
And everyone laughed, because the only religion Quarterpound has is the eternal grift.
(Also, didn't read the rest of the article. It's longer than Big Tech's gender option sign up list.)
A lot of people won't see it because it's buried all the way at the end but Walsh goes beyond calling to limit screen time for kids. He also writes “We all know it’s pretend. We all know the images are digital. We know you are not a serial killer. But the fact remains that you still enjoy pretending to kill people. Your favorite recreational activity is to pretend that you are killing people. You probably will never kill a single person in real life, but it’s still not good; it’s still unhealthy; it’s still pretty disturbing that you find so much joy in simulated death and destruction.”
The personal nature of the attacks on Quartering in this piece make me wonder if this is just a function of Bounding being ideologically aligned with Walsh on this issue, or if they've chosen to write a bullshit smear piece because they just don't like Hambly.
I find The Quartering barely tolerable, but he is 100% correct on this issue. His problem is that he's built his career and made all of his money by picking fights that didn't need to occur, and by inserting himself into other people's drama that didn't involve him, and every time he does that, he makes enemies. Some of those enemies are influencers too, and when the opportunity comes along for them to report on drama that does involve Hambly, he's increasingly going to find that their reporting doesn't necessarily reflect the facts of that particular case so much as it reflects the fact that they just don't like him.
It's hard to feel sorry for the man, even when he's right as he is here. He invites this kind of treatment.
Matt Walsh makes a point. You have to have moderation when it comes to all forms of media. I wouldn’t be surprised if his kids plays video games and I also wouldn’t be surprised if him or his wife checks on what they’re playing and puts a limit on it. It was the same when I was a kid. My parents only gave me an hour or two each day to play games and I do the same with my kids through the parental controls on their PC.
If you also notice, Walsh isn’t spending every single hour of his YouTube videos discussing this because he knows there’s more important things to talk about. But no, keep bringing this up Jeremy Hamburger. Do what it takes to make 20 videos a day on this just for those YouTube bucks you retarded fat fuck. Knowing Walsh, if he sees Jeremy’s sweaty fatass goons going after him for this take then he’s going to make video games the topic of the month.
Matt has a point with letting screens raise your kids
I agree, this IS a good point. Too many parents today half ass it and rely on an iPad or whatever to keep their little shits distracted because it’s so much easier.
But at the same time Jeremy has a point too. There is such a thing as being TOO principled and TOO much of a square to the point where it turns people off, especially younger people who are dumb and only focus on fun and good feelings. Games, movies and music are the dominion of the left because the right have been trapped in the 1800’s, but there are a shit ton of conservative film makers and actors and probably game devs too who can’t get any points on the board for OUR side because our side rejects them. And Jesus, I’ve played violent video games and watched anime since the 90’s, and I’m fine.
Maybe the answer is somewhere in the middle. A friend of mine jams PlayStation almost daily with his sons, it’s a bonding thing for them. But after an allotted amount of time each day, it goes off. Moderation and self-discipline.
So yeah, I guess I agree with both of them. I just wish they would STFU. All this infighting on the right lately is getting really fuckin annoying
It's funny to see Jeremy apparently equating anything or anyone associated with Ben Shapiro as being "the right."
Walsh: Maybe a person's entire life shouldn't be spent playing videogames

I just wish people on this side of the "culture war" could live somewhere other than on either end of the extreme when it comes to escapism.
Let them fight.
And everyone laughed, because the only religion Quarterpound has is the eternal grift.

Matt Walsh is good on fighting trannies but otherwise is a complete tradcuck. Jeremy is a weird guy.
Let them fight each other.
The right is turning into a freakshow of grifters.

Dude can go the fuck off with that

Well, I'm 99% sure the shit Walsh was saying was satire but sure...
No he just tried to pass it off that way after he got called on it.
