Well, I can't think of any good analogies because people already do all of them. First I was going to say "being shocked that eating too much makes you fat", which is basically the norm now thanks to the normalization of obesity. Then I was going to say "being shocked that unprotected sex makes you pregnant", which again, women do literally all the time.
