I'm so fucking sick of the trannies.
There is damn near not an iota of content I enjoy(ed) that hasn't been absolutely fucking destroyed by these mentally ill clowns. I'm just so god damn done with it. At this point I'm not even angry, just disgusted and disappointed.
Is there any game/media content that you feel was ripped away from you or otherwise destroyed by their insanity? I'll start:
RIP: My 10 year old Warframe account that was banned on first ever offense on any grounds for saying verbatim "No I don't support the trans rights movement and I don't want it spammed in my clan chat."
RIP: My legacy Dead By Daylight account for "Targeting" a trannie twitch streamer. [AKA: I killed them first in the game about killing players..?]
RIP: My Garrysmod RP server that got delisted for having Nazi imagery in a 1942 setting about FIGHTING NAZI's. (Going to fucking ban Wolfenstien next?)
Build good stuff and then gate keeping them out of it is the best revenge you can have.
As for media content, I'll just say The Last Jedi.
I saw Star Wars three times in 1977. Saw Empire on premiere day. Saw Jedi on premiere day. Rian Fucking Johnson turned my Luke into a fucking soy boy.
I know your anger and frustration, believe me. Those fucking commie fucks have taken everything that was good about the US and corrupted all of it.
Luke is probably the single biggest issue in TLJ, but the problems go so much deeper than that. Almost nothing, from plot to character to choreography, holds up under scrutiny. It’s actually crazy how broken that film is not just on a woke shit shoved in level but on a fundamental construction level and yet it has many ardent defenders.
Nobody defends it for itself. They defend it because all of the "wrong" people are against it.
That definitely plays a part, but I do think a lot of its defenders believe what they’re saying when they call it an artistic masterpiece.
No leftist, anywhere, ever, believes anything that comes out of their mouths.
Ranted about this quite a few times already, the production quality just isn't there for these modern films, it's not just you and other people are noticing it a lot too.
Seen Knives Out?
Same director, same problems. If Ana de Armas (mostly) and Katherine Langford hadn’t been distracting me the whole time, by being, well, hot, I would’ve just switched it off, lol…
It’s so, so bad…
I didn’t bother with the sequel.
I have seen Knives Out, and in all honesty, I mostly enjoyed it in the moment (probably because of Daniel Craig's acting), although the obvious political contrivance of the main character being an illegal alien was quite grating. Of course, just like Looper (another RJ film), it reveals itself as fundamentally broken if you actually think about it. The Last Jedi is the most obvious because everyone is familiar with a bunch of established rules and characters that it breaks, but I suspect every film he's ever done falls apart under scrutiny. He's a complete hack.
What I like about Looper is that it directly acknowledges that it makes no dn sense if you investigate it, and it's only there to be weird.
I didn't have cartoon network growing up because all we had was an antenna on top of our house that picked up a few channels. Kids WB was the only thing I had to watch for TV as a kid. Pokemon, YuGiOh, and Batman Beyond was what I saw on saturday mornings.
Since I didn't have anything else, I had to look through my parent's VHS collection. Star Wars and Indiana Jones were the things I watched religiously. They were a staple of my childhood. I had so many Star Wars Lego sets it was hard to find room for them.
Watching The Force Awakens, and seeing in real time, a huge part of my childhood dismantled and destroyed really set me off. I knew from that moment on that if they were willing to tank a franchise that big for their crusade, they would stop at nothing.
There can be no forgiveness for their heresy.
This is exactly what I'm doing and encouraging others to do to the point I'm freely posting up code to help people get the job done and offering other advice.
I was born in 80 so couldn’t see it in the theater. How much of a cultural event was it? I’ve seen the photos of the lines wrapped around the block for Star Wars.
It was huge. Mostly due to the breakthrough in special effects technology, but it was basically a good story. IMO I went to Return of the Jedi opening night and thought the movie sucked even then. They tried to push Stone Age vs Modern Tech and I thought it was a big fail along with the Ewoks being a big fail.
I loved Vader’s redemption and while I love ROTJ overall, I wish Lucas had stuck with his plan to have that battle on Chewie’s planet. Or not bring back the Death Star.
ROTJ is a weird mix of fantastic (everything on the Death Star II, seeing Luke come into his own) and awful (Ewoks beating the Empire) with some mixed bag stuff in there for good measure (the stuff with Jabba's palace wasn't bad, but probably could have been better as well).
That would have made the movie so much better.
My father has told me about him and some college buddies going out one night, in Starkville, Mississippi, and seeing a large line at the theater. No one in his group had heard about Star Wars but they went in and gave it a watch. While waiting in line he found out this was not everyone's first time seeing it. He and some of his buddies would go back and see it again.
The whole thing really stuck out to him because my father is a huge sci-fi fan. He grew up reading Heinlein, E.E Doc Smith, Asimov, all the "classics." It tickled him that in a tiny college town in Mississippi an oddball movie like Star Wars was able to generate a ton of interest.
I grew up and memorized every word of star wars when I was a little kid.
I fell asleep during the last jedi and still don’t know what fake ending they invented. I assume a trans Vadar came out to a trans Yoda
The Last Jedi was a huge turning point in the media critic culture. What a slap in the face to Star Wars fans. Star Wars has been dead to me ever since. I won't touch any Disney glop unless you paid me a fair bit.
