It’s actually far more shallow, the latter is realistic, the former is a pathetic attempt at social engineering that has failed for checks calendar the entirety of human history
I don't care if Mario games sell more per capita they ever did in SMB 1, 2, 3, SMW, or whatever. It's no longer the same franchise, having been replaced by a bastardization of what the storyline and characters were originally about.
If you just look at the games and nothing else Peach DOES have a character. You can infer a lot about how other people treat her or talk about her. She seems to be a bit incompetent as a ruler, she needs external help to maintain her power and often gets kidnapped by a giant lizard again and again. She's no girl boss but rather someone deeply flawed. But in le current year you cannot have women be flawed, especially in leadership positions.
I know they had to add plotting for it to work, and they were always going to hire A-listers instead of actual vidya voice actors, but even still… It’s so bad, lol.
"girl boss" no more deep than "professional damsel"

Should've made it in Japan, Nintendo.
Nintendo chose Illumination over bigger studios like Disney because only Illumination would let them keep creative control.
After reading that article:
I can't believe I lived long enough to see them kill Super Maro Bros.
If the very first Mario movie didn't kill SMB, then this won't either.

While I agree with your analysis, Nintendo is fucking notorious for milking every cent out of a franchise. Even after it's dead.
SMB may be dead, but you're going to be seeing it's shambling corpse for quite some time.
Too be fair, she needs everything to be three-dimensional, with her eyes set that far apart.
None of the actors sound remotely like they should.
Is the movie good at all? I have heard mixed reviews from those who have seen it.

Ah yes, the whitest “person of colour” to ever grace the pages of Variety (or was it Vogue? I honestly don’t remember)…
Because she’s from Argentina, which technically makes her Latina, which technically makes her (by someone’s bizarre “logic” a POC, got it?)…
Quality grifter. 👌🏽
I just watched the “Final Trailer” again…
Yeesh…

So, so bad…
So that's why. They couldn't get someone in unless they did a few Hail Solanas chants.
AI will make them all irrelevant soon.
