A day ending in Y
To be honest, they probably wouldn't have needed to be 'reformed' as much if they had stricter and enforced immigration controls.
You can either have social programs or open borders, you can't have both.
They elected the people who imported the replacements. No sympathy here.
Demographics are destiny. Can’t unring that bell. The west is already over.
Not sure what country you're in, but if it's Western, your people probably did too. Do you have sympathy for your own people?
We've all been done dirty by our 'leaders.' Even if some of our own people went along with it, I don't think that's worth writing everyone off completely. Even the people who directly voted for it did so at the behest of the people pushing this nonsense. They've been brainwashed, and we've all been used.
Yeah, the French screwed up, but I still wish the best for them, and hope they can walk it back.
In it's current state, yes. Though there's been many times we've thought some place or group was 'over' and they survive either to reform under a new banner or as a shell of their former selves
I'm 50/50 on if the 'new arrivals' will stay or leave when 'the land of milk and honey' runs dry and they need to actually work for their feed.
One of the best Friedman lines
That line i put at the end (I didn't even realise it was a Friedman line till Smith1980 mentioned it) is just reality.
Not my fault that western governments are too dumb to understand it as it goes for ALL social programs, pensions, healthcare, unemployment etc you have ANY of these policies, you better put up barbed wire and guard your border like its the Berlin Wall.
Thank god in Japan they have elderly that hold voting control and know how fucking disastrous that would be.
So it looks like the plan is mostly automaton to level of even robotics and encouraging people to make families and fuck more. I'm just saying, I've noticed a big increase in anime with lovable kids and wholesome relationships...
They're not too dumb to understand. Social systems (and everything else) failing is a blindingly obvious consequence of importing millions of unemployable Africans. They're actively malicious.
On a day that ends in y, the French are rioting. This time over Macron's pension reforms. Joking aside, at least the French are willing to hop into the pit and fight unlike most western Europeans.
I guess that is good, but they are unwilling to fight against the root cause of the problems that are plaguing and destroying western civilization. They are rioting because they want to have their cake and eat it too.
Honestly, I think we need to take a page out of Macron’s book. These neoliberal leaders like Macron, Biden, and Trudeau claim that their highest value is “democracy”, yet they are completely willing to use the full extent of the power of their office to do what they believe is right for their country, even if it is extremely unpopular.
Donald Trump was the opposite. He presented himself as a strong leader, yet he often flopped under pressure. I love Donald Trump and what he stands for, but if he had the level of opposition that Macron is experiencing now, he would have given up and then whined about it on Twitter.
They’re also better at dealing with riots. When the truckers went to Ottawa, Trudeau cut off their funding by banning GiveSendGo and shutting down their bank accounts, and then he had them all arrested. When the rioters went to the capitol, Biden made sure they were all charged and made sure they received jail time even though most were convicted of crimes that normally wouldn’t be given a prison sentence for first offense (trespassing, “parading”)
When the BLM and antifa anarchists were rioting in the US for six months, we allowed them to continue to raise money and very few, if any, were charged or sentenced to jail time.
I literally just left Paris today after four days. There is trash fucking everywhere and yesterday trying to get around the city was a disaster because of the rail strikes.
Their pension was always a pipe dream. Fuckem.
It sounds like both sides suck. From what I've heard, the method used to push these reforms was dodgy as all hell - "It's better to ask forgiveness than permission" should not apply to legislation outside of extreme emergencies, and the impending collapse of the pension system isn't coming that quickly - but the Antifa types who are engaging in indiscriminate destruction should be shot. If Macron is acting like a tyrant, go after Macron, not the innocent civilians he disenfranchised.
