Honestly, I think we need to take a page out of Macron’s book. These neoliberal leaders like Macron, Biden, and Trudeau claim that their highest value is “democracy”, yet they are completely willing to use the full extent of the power of their office to do what they believe is right for their country, even if it is extremely unpopular.
Donald Trump was the opposite. He presented himself as a strong leader, yet he often flopped under pressure. I love Donald Trump and what he stands for, but if he had the level of opposition that Macron is experiencing now, he would have given up and then whined about it on Twitter.
They’re also better at dealing with riots. When the truckers went to Ottawa, Trudeau cut off their funding by banning GiveSendGo and shutting down their bank accounts, and then he had them all arrested. When the rioters went to the capitol, Biden made sure they were all charged and made sure they received jail time even though most were convicted of crimes that normally wouldn’t be given a prison sentence for first offense (trespassing, “parading”)
When the BLM and antifa anarchists were rioting in the US for six months, we allowed them to continue to raise money and very few, if any, were charged or sentenced to jail time.
