or wear a hat with loads of infrared leds invisable to the naked eye makes your face glow to resemle slenderman. needless to say they dont get useful matching data from it/
I have been pondering for a long time how easy it would be to come up with something to subvert facial recognition advances (at least temporarily) without it being as obvious as a mask and glasses.
Something along the lines of make up that reflects IR or normal glasses that are lined with emitters or something like that.
the makeup idea would be rather rough i think... wouldnt it need a lot of fine metal in it? guess it would work if yout cosplaying as captain disillusion if i rememberd his name right,
Sometimes I wonder how unique combinations of other external features are: eg. the combination of your posture, height, arm length, how you swing your arms when you walk, your gait, etc... Could you uniquely identify someone not showing a patch of bare skin from those sorts of features alone?
"Body recognition" (it's actually a different term) is already done on CCP-monitored security cameras in China. I doubt you can get a high confidence match without their face showing, but it's a rich and useful feature-set to add to the whole picture.
I'm not sure I disagree with James Dolan here. If a lawyer accuses you of operating an unsafe public space yet willingly endangers themselves by visiting those spaces for non-essential reasons, they clearly don't believe their own accusation.
Idk how many lawyers in those firms are actually involved in the lawsuit, but I’d believe it would be more fair if 1) this facial recognition shit didn’t exist, or if it has to exist, 2) only ban the people directly involved in the suit and not every lawyer in the firm if not every lawyer in the firm is involved
I'd be totally ok with it if we were all equally able to discriminate. But the fact of the matter is, the current rule of law being enforced favors forcing businesses to deal with people they don't want to.
Kind of ridiculous that in the future you'll need to wear ski masks, sunglasses with hats and a fake pegleg to avoid being detected.
Or just be black, aren't they still unrecognizable by lots of facerec systems?
Yet everyone recognizes King Kong.

I suppose that means it's finally time for the ministry of silly walks to shine.
