I think a lot of us never thought very hard about vaccination before. Maybe knew someone who didn't want to vaccinate their kids and thought that was kinda weird because "don't you want your kid to not get crippled or die from the measles?" Because if they're vaccinating you, they must be doing it because the benefit far outweighs whatever potential side effects that might occur, right?

Then you find out that the chickenpox vaccine is now on the schedule and that doctors think the "chickenpox parties" everyone used to have are somehow child endangerment, and you consider for the first time that maybe you're giving your kids a bunch of shots they don't really need.

Then the last two years happen and you're doing your damndest to never step foot in a doctor's office again, let alone let them inject you with something unless you're already dying.

There other vaccines have a long track record though. It's unfortunate if the attempt to push the corona vaccine down the throats of those who didn't really need it will lead to issues with the rest of the vaccines.

A lot of bad things have a long track record.

I don't know if all or most vaccines are essentially worthless or even a net negative, but we know without a shadow of a doubt that the entire medical community will circle the wagons to cover up data that endangers their profits.

I laughed at "anti-vaxxers" before Covid. Now I'm open to the idea that they're right. Sadly, the data is so muddled at this point that I'll likely never know the truth.

Not a good one.

I don't know if all or most vaccines are essentially worthless or even a net negative, but we know without a shadow of a doubt that the entire medical community will circle the wagons to cover up data that endangers their profits.

There's not even the possibility that they are a major net positive? Considering that they circled the wagons, and even then failed to achieve their objectives despite there being an actual epidemic that killed millions, I'm actually rather positive.

I laughed at "anti-vaxxers" before Covid. Now I'm open to the idea that they're right. Sadly, the data is so muddled at this point that I'll likely never know the truth.

Yes, I also became somewhat more favorably inclined towards Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

They are adding vaccines to the schedule all the time. And some of them don't have stellar track records. Japan banned the MMR vaccine and uses a stand alone mumps vaccine because of its poor safety record. The FDA just don't give a shit.

There are no vaccines with a long track record, or even a track record -- assuming you meant a track record of (health) success.
