A significant portion of Jewish IQ is based on an incorrect valuation of verbal manipulation. Take any developed community in the world, inject a large number of Jews, and watch the average “IQ” climb even as everything else gets worse.
Put another way: Asians have the highest IQ, Jews are the best at appearing to have the highest IQ.
I'm not saying I fully believe the "Ashkenazim IQ is a meme" meme, but it is interesting that Israel has a lower average IQ than the United States (and I am aware that Ashkenazim aren't a majority in Israel, but they are like a third of the population, followed by other Jews, and then Arabs). And it's been noted that Ashkenazim immigrants to the United State's average IQ supposedly jumped 20 points basically instantly which seems like a lot more than improved nutrition should account for.
I mean, if you're not having any schooling and you're spinning cloth at home, and have poor nutrition because you have a stingy Jewish family, a 95 score on an IQ test is nothing to complain about.
This said, I find one thing rather curious. Not accusing you, but I have noticed that the far-right (if you will) takes great glee in denigrating other ethnicities for their lower average IQ, but when those same IQ tests show that whites score lower than Asians and Jews, it's "WAIT A SECOND... THIS IS NOT ACCOUNTING FOR OUR CREATIVITY!!!"
If it's goose for the good, it's good for the gander.
I have no problem admitting Asians are generally smarter. If I were Han I'd have already packed my shit and moved to China. But I mostly find the Jew case interesting because Chinese in China are still above average despite poverty, but the same pattern doesn't hold for Jews.
One interesting part of the explanation for this is that Jews stepped up to fill a niche that others wouldn't because it was deemed as unethical; mergers and acquisitions back in the day, I believe. They took jobs others wouldn't, and created an empire out of it. Similar to the 'Jewish banker' idea, actually.
I'm not here to argue one side or the other in the IQ debate - I simply don't know - but I will say Jewish lawyers/bankers isn't necessarily inherently linked to their average IQ...whatever that may be. They were willing to do 'dirty' jobs others wouldn't.

Seems like a rationalization, to be honest. I can guarantee you that 'ethics' never play a role when it comes to earning money.

The problem was not that it was considered 'unethical' (not directly anyway), but because it was forbidden for Christians, at least during most of the Middle Ages. Basically, only Jews and Lombards were lending people money... which caused them no end of grief.

I said deemed unethical, I'm not even saying it was.
Point is, there was a time where certain branches of legal practice were taboo, just like how, as you say, Jews were some of the only people lending money for a time. Jewish lawyers stepped in to fill this under-practiced law, congregated around each other, and then you had Jewish law schools and associations. That's all I'm saying; Jews took jobs others didn't want.

Verbal intelligence is real. Which is why the Jewish lawyer idea exists, but not the idea of a Chinese lawyer.

Yes, I do agree, not necessarily inherently.

Christians don't believe in interest; any "loans" given out to them are glorified gifts where they'll drag their ass to repay it, if at all.
