So I’ve been constantly hearing about how “great” Yellowstone is and decided to try 1883 to see what the fuss was about. 1883 is horrible, the entire story is a cringe journal from a teenage girl who is just an awful petulant child throughout. Is the actual series this bad or is it worth actually watching?

Haven't seen 'Yellowstone', but it seems to me it's a lot like FoxNews. Paying lip service to conservative values, while promoting a radically progressive alternative, such as employing 'Caitlyn' Jenner as a presenter.
In as such, I've never had to inclination to check it out, but I suspect it has an addictive soap opera appeal. It's complete and utter schlock, but you still kind of want to watch how it turns out, like with the rest of those so-called 'neo-Western' dramas.
It's better than 99% of the garbage out there, but that's not saying very much. I like Kevin Costner in this one. There's some Native American preaching, and for one episode I thought it was going to go completely sideways because of that, but then it sort of went back on track.
I tried watching the prequel and noped out after one ep because the main character teenage girl as insufferable. The only redeeming scene was when she gets slapped and told to shut up.
Already 10x better than The Last of Us.
It was as good as a modern Western starring Sam Elliott could possibly be. This is not high praise for a show where the main storylines include "a black guy hooks up with a Gypsy immigrant" and "Tim McGraw and Faith Hill let their only daughter run off with a Comanche with virtually no pushback".
I pushed through and it was fucking terrible. I don’t get who thought teenage diaries of a thot in 1883 was a good western concept.
I watched some of the first season and noped out after a few eps because it was getting progressively more simpy.
It looks like cringe Hollywood trash with just enough subtlety in its progressive messaging to sneak by middle American audiences.
Kevin Costner is a leftist retard who supported Liz Cheney.
A friend of mine says the first few seasons are good, but then it goes downhill. He also said to avoid the prequels.
BlueBloods is a conservative-ish crime serial if that's you're thing. It won't blow your socks off but it's not woke.
Was it made after 2010?
I think it popped up 2018, but all the hubbub in “conservative media” is how great a show it is. If the main series writing is anything like the “prequel” then it’s woke cowboys with Mary sues abounding.
Don't try to pet the elk, or pose with the elk.
But if you see some tourists trying to pose with elk, find cover and watch cuz shit is about to happen.
It's decent. As far as modern television goes, it's better than 98% of the trash that has been released in the last decade.
It has problems, like by season 4 or 5 the number of boss bitches that shows up is too much. There are also some contrivances that are a bridge too far, but I think it's worth a watch.
