Hard shit has been an issue in Chancouver for a long time now.
I remember the ex and I picking up one chucklehead of a hitch-hiker claiming he was leaving Toronto for Vancouver to "get off the heroin". No, you're just getting to its source ....
Mainly the "Wastings and Pain" area, from what I've heard.
Kelowna and Kamloops ain't much better, and Price George is one of the roughest little places going. But at least Kamloops has a "mindyerownbeeswax" kind of beach area ...
This is basically an admission of defeat.
Funny enough, no one is mentioning mushrooms, which grow everywhere in BC. And I mean the fun ones, not just the boring ones.
The ultimate goal, Ms Bennett said, “is to save lives”.
If the goal was to "save lives", the addicts would be forced into detox.
You can even make your case for controlled sale of drugs with quality and dosage control... But still force the non-functioning addicts into detox, if you were sincere with your "we need a revolutionary way to adress the drug abuse problems and overdose deaths".
Meanwhile, the raving junkies on the streets are destroying the city.
What happened to common sense according to which, although alchool is legal, being a drunktard in public isn't?
Leftists are destroying civilization.
Sane people need to leave the cities and have a hopefully numerous family in small towns. Leave Leftists and their nonsensical ideas to rot in the diverse shitholes.
Selling drugs is a fundamentally illegitimate business; its about convincing first-time customers to drive themselves mad so they are incapable of making a rational judgement whether to be repeat customers. It is also an existential threat to the government if you allow those self-made madmen to vote for whatever left-wing demagogue tells them what they want to hear. Just sitting there and watching as the worst sort of grifters take a sledgehammer to the foundations of your civilisation is not an option.
Let's hope enough left-wing druggies overdose.
sounds like a business opportunity
Yeesh, CW drops a bunch of shows and Vancouver starts doing drugs shortly after...

That would explain the street design. I got lost every time I visited.

Canada goes all-in with their assisted suicides, I see.
gov doesn't really have the legitimacy to ban these things in the first place.

While Canada warns you should have at most two drinks of alcohol a week, or whatever.
