They're the biggest terrorists in the region, they scare the shit out of their Sunni neighbors, and they're a source for non American oil for China.

The funny thing is, pushing back Iran is what got Donald Trump his Middle East peace deal. Well, it would have gotten him Middle Eastern peace. So there are definitely benefits here.
