"asian" is an american thing. She's CHINESE.
Yeoh is also lame and they put her in fucking everything. She's constantly miscast into roles just because she's the most well known (in America) Chinese actress. The fact that she's old is seen as a plus for libtards since they want to play against the "old women cant get roles" thing.
THANK YOU. I hate getting lumped in with the brown people just because white Liberals want to feel inclusive. The Chinese have been fighting the Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese for thousands of years. They look the same because they're all the same genes, different nationality. Don't lump their racial grievances with the Indians and Pakis. It's disrespectful.
I intentionally call everyone in the mix asian. Don’t take it personally but if I’m “Caucasian/ White” then you’re Asian.
White is an American thing. For the same reasons.
That's so incredibly incorrect.
It's more than American.
The Right: "She's Chinese! Say it!"
The Left: "That's racist! All those asians look the same and act the same!"
Basically, yes. But you're not going to miss very far if you call every Asian-looking dude Chinese. You have what, a 80-90% chance of getting it right?
There are good reasons for that. We don't want to see old women playing anything except old women.
Yeoh wasn't lame back in the day when she was jumping on trains in Jackie Chan movies, but her time is up. Every role she's miscast in now was a loss for someone better. So Inclusive!
It's the same shit as most of the metoo actresses. They're trying to pull the rope up behind d them.
yep. they love to throw "asian" in there like we all supposed to stick together as asians. rofl. asians hate other asians, or think they are superior over other asians.
by using "asian" they trying to unite asians against oppressors.
"CHINESE" is a non-Chinese thing. She's MALAYSIAN CHINESE.
No. "Chinese" is a reference to either the nationality, or the ethnicity. Here it is a reference to the ethnicity, which is Han.
Michelle Yeoh is Han Chinese. Both her parents are Han.
