"asian" is an american thing. She's CHINESE.

"CHINESE" is a non-Chinese thing. She's MALAYSIAN CHINESE.

No. "Chinese" is a reference to either the nationality, or the ethnicity. Here it is a reference to the ethnicity, which is Han.

Michelle Yeoh is Han Chinese. Both her parents are Han.
