Unlike the US, the military in Brazil actually have national pride and care about their country. If this is a real deal insurrection, there would be no need for the people to take to the buildings because the military can secure the places of power that have any value.

It feels, off to me like it isn't natural. Don't know why but just from the videos alone doesn't seem like it was set up by people that had enough of a bullshit system.
The truckers before in Brazil, THAT felt natural as that was something simple yet effective to demonstrate their frustration. This just seems to be more for the cameras and to give excuses for a crackdown.

And boomers actually cheered the army when it arrived, hoping that the armed forces were there to help them (lots of older folks who lives through the dictatorship are still stuck with the notion that the army fights commies).
If it was the real deal, the military would have been involved. That's not rare for Brazil.
