I remember the Last Airbender creators being surprised that boys liked Katara just like they liked Aang and Sokka. There have been so many popular female characters with wide demographic appeal. How do people ignore them all?
Same way a racist reconciles the view of a good person of the race they hate, or a religious zealot of a decent person in another faith. "Men hate women, all men are mysogynysts" is a core tenant, a Commandment, a fundamental pillar of their ideology and worldview, and so even when it happens several billion times that men don't hate women, every single time, they'll be surprised, compartmentalize that example, and forget it as a singular example, no matter how often it hits.
It's amazing to never watch a movie with Lawrence in it again.
How much money do Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Grand Order make again?
Nowadays much less than a few years ago.
$6.3 billion since launch.
Because gacha is psychologically-manipulative bullshit.
But hey, Artoria's an awesome female lead.
I mean it's no longer #1.
Still a billion dollars a year, because people are idiots.
I say that as someone who loves the Fate multiverse. I'm going through the various anime right now.
The fact there's a competitive ranking of multi-billion-dollar female-led mobile-tier games played heavily by men I think proves the point more than whether or not Fate happens to be first place in that ranking anyways.

Ehhhh. It's the same issue, but it's not exactly a re-post.
