I consider myself a pretty good writer, and I still often have to reformat a sentence multiple times before it sounds "just right". I did it in this very post, in fact.
Yeah, it's hard to figure out the exact wording and I can't undo it.

I actually do use semicolons way more than the average person. Which is to say I use them at all.
And yes, I had to fight the urge to use one just now.
