Until now, the security services and the media were circling the wagons for Trudeau, but now it seems they've decided to throw him under the bus in order to save their own hides.

It was definitely meant to be a cover-up. They even selected a Liberal donor as the presiding judge. But for some reason they decided to open the proceedings to the public, maybe because they thought they could convince everyone how evil the Convoy protesters were. So now people are watching as CSIS and now the OPP have both said they knew the protesters weren't who Trudeau kept saying they were.
