I am getting a new coworker that I will likely need to work closely with, and it’s a “they/them”. Haven’t seen this person or a picture yet, so not sure if it’s a female or male at this point.
What are some tips for dealing with this? Should I just completely ignore the issue and make on as if it isn’t “a thing”, just avoiding the use of pronouns? I want to keep my job, but I don’t want to betray reality and my principles.
I have a high paying cushy job… is the solution then to just allow all these gender freaks to take over all the good jobs and cower off into the sunset? I’d like to know what your long-term solution is to this madness.
Unless you're in a hiring position, you don't really have a say. You can vote with your feet, or not.
Long term? Kill them all and outlaw crossdressing.
You're literally a corporate employee... You're already gone, so just continue on your path towards perdition and do as your handlers tell you. If you ever feel hollow, if your thoughts ever stray to questions of what is good, or how one should live, just buy more goods and products.
Nope I don’t work for a corporation or any company
While I completely agree with the others' sentiments, I get not just being able to leave a job, that's a huge part of someone's life.
If you ARE in a position where you feel you are being forced out, do the bare minimum and make them fire you. Don't quit. That way you get unemployment.
It might be worthwhile to have a talk with HR and clearly explain that as a Christian (or whatever sincere religion) you are expected to tell the truth and be a good person. That means not lying about someone's sex/gender, even if they want you to.
Probably would be worth saying you’re a Jew or Muslim in this case, they’d be less likely to attribute the religion to being part of your “toxic white maleness”
