Thr source material doesn't really matter, I just love learning about the lore and mythology of various settings, so anything from LOTR to WH40K to TES would work.
Hell, the channel doesn't even need to be anti-woke, just being apolitical is good enough.
Arch is the best 40K lore channel, and he's flat-out anti-woke. They hate him so much that they threatened to sue him if he didn't take the "Warhammer" out of his channel name.
Agree on Arch. His lore channel is here, and in the last couple years he's tried to keep it more neutral politically, but on his second channel is all his political and cultural takes which are anti-woke.
He should upload his videos to Odysee as well.
Tolkien Lore is pretty good. He’s a smaller channel but he’s very apolitical and definitely not woke.
Arch for 40k, Tex (Channel name Black Pants Legion) for Battletech.
For TES, they're soybois but the Selectives Lorecast (at least, up to when I last listened, which was 6 or 7mo ago) does some nice deep dives into the lore and I can't recall them bringing any irl politics into the lore.
Scratch that, they use the they/their pronoun nonsense in reference to Vivec, not really a deal breaker but I'd just rather they not bring the pronoun nonsense in at all regardless of how justifiable it is
I'd say the Templin Institute does some great lore breakdowns, they keep politics not already in the actual setting out of it and to their credit they did a fantastic re imagining of the Rebellion and First order from the Disney Star Wars that I'd actually put down money to watch if they made films or series EXACTLY like they did.
I agree. Very entertaining too!
Lore Reloaded is conservative but keeps his politics out of his videos. He covers mostly StarTrek lore.
Another one no one has mentioned yet is Tex of the Black Pants Legion. He's not actively anti-woke (though the mob has tried to cancel him for daring to have a conversation with Arch a while back) but he is aggressively anti-political in his content.
A lot of his channel is Lets Plays and shitposting, but his Battletech Lore Videos (playlist here) are top tier, especially the longer ones.
Just don't mention you like Clanners and you'll be alright with Tex.
Why is no one mentioning Luetin for 40K, did something happened with him? Last time I checked he shilled for Dawn of War 3 and that it wasn't so bad
The stuff for actual LotR lore I've watched of In Deep Geek has been non-woke and it's well researched and accurate as far as I can tell. I haven't watched any of his ASOIAF, or Witcher, or Rangz content or looked at his social media so I don't know if he himself is woke or not or if his other content is.
Fizhy has some good Red Dead content. He does other stuff as well. He's apolitical from what I can see.
I second the calls of Arch, Tex/BPL, Luetin, and Templin.
Another one I have found that is fun/interesting is Oculus Imperia for 40K. It tells a lot of the same lore that any other channel does, but it is done in the character of an Imperial Scribe who is given access to the information and is essentially making a historical novel for the Imperium. So its an interesting twist on the usual lore information.
The book of Choyer for Warhammer, Wizzards & Warrior for fantasy battle reports (Lotr, Warhammer, Witcher, etc...) and Mac's Lore for Colony Wars, Battlestar Galactica and Homeworld are pretty neat too.
