Sarver said the N-word at least five times in repeating or purporting to repeat what a Black person said

Sarver used language and engaged in conduct demeaning of female employees. Among other examples, he told a pregnant employee that she would be unable to do her job upon becoming a mother; berated a female employee in front of others and then commented that women cry too much;

Sarver commented and made jokes frequently to employees in large and small settings about sex and sex-related anatomy, including by making crude or otherwise inappropriate comments about the physical appearance and bodies of female employees and other women.

Over 50 current and former employees reported that Sarver frequently engaged in demeaning and harsh treatment of employees — including by yelling and cursing at them — that on occasion constituted bullying under workplace standards.

So he said the dreaded N-word because a black guy said it and he said something along the lines of do not use the n-word. He told a pregnant employee the truth. He told another women the truth. Made crude jokes. The dude had a temper, like everyone in sports.

He is fined 10 million for it. This smells like a hit job.

I do not want to channel my inner TheImp but I bet that he will have to hire more women and donate to women led causes to make amends.

Oh it’s 100% a hit job. No different than what happened at Blizzard.

I do find the n-word shit to be especially infuriating. This is twice now that effective white male executives have been ousted from their own companies because they used the dreaded n-word in discussing or quoting other people using the n-word.

and then commented that women cry too much.

The woman then cried and told HR. It is annoying to both have to put up with women being overly emotional and also having to pretend that they aren't overly emotional.

Reminds me of that time where the boss said that women overreact and all the women packed and left for the day in protest.

That's the most hitjobberiest hitjob chickenscratch I've ever read. "He was harsh to employees" "He quoted someone else" "He made a penis joke" "He didn't think an employee could juggle raising a literal human being and a job in the highest level of the profession".

I have zero doubt in my mind that the teams that "Magically" do well every year, the Patriots and the Penguins and the Cardinals of their leagues, spend hundreds of manhours a week less on this diversity crap and target the turboautists of the world to feed information to the gut feeling kings of the modern day to do the work that crap teams fill with instinct bankrupt 2+2=4 40 hour work week needs 2 hours a day for yoga filler, no "I can powermom between paying attention to my bundle of joy and also this uber demanding ultracompetitive meritocracy of a job." It's telling that the "original programmers were women" when it was connecting the wires to make sure that 10*1=10, but once it became asking the hardware to do things previously undreamed of like transmitting high quality video at high speeds, fostering P2P file sharing, designing physics engines, and innovating on the design and size of hardware coding became a man's job, and now that it's working with GUI's for LinkedIn to do what's going to be automatable in 5 years there's a big push for woman programmers.
