Talk about terrible optics, this is further reason EVERYONE should be armed at all times even during a funeral
Because law enforcement are less likely to be gun ho knowing that bullets from everyone could be coming their direction if they rush in acting like wannabe gang bangers.
Proof positive of a narrative being pushed. When St Floyd died someone told me that these things don’t happen to white people. Honestly if they actually reported incidents of police brutality it would be eye opening. I used to read Reason magazine a lot and still do occasionally and they used to highlight police brutality regardless of race
Sadly Reason is too busy right now siding with corrupt fucks in the Libertarian Party as they try to steal it from the people winning internal positions.
This happened a few weeks after my father in law's funeral at the same funeral home. The official story sounded fish when we all first heard it. The local police are apparently pissed at how they handled it. But it could be they didn't get a chance to join in.
Police can be incompetent and evil, but this seems over the top. I wonder if there's more going on here. Were the police straight up corrupt? This feels more like a hit than an attempted arrest, based on the description at least.
This isn't even "oopsie doopsie" police murder, this is just straight up murder. I'll be curious to hear more about the details, if and when they come out.
And, yeah, the juxtaposition is certainly telling, too. This seems so much worse than St. Floyd. No riots, no nationwide protests, no nationwide news coverage, no dropping everything to focus on this. Monsters with badges just showed up and shot some dude dead at his father's funeral. Let's move on.
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly attributed most of the information. It came from an Associated Press article that was published by The Washington Post; it was not the Post's own reporting.
This might be bullshit, but I have no way of knowing. WaPo and AP are Leftist publications anyway, so there's no reason to expect any legitimacy or accuracy from their work.
I hoped covid would open people’s eyes about that. I wanted to be a cop but decided to join the Air Force instead. I generally respect cops and understand their purpose in my community but you can’t just blindly worship them
That’s true. I’m just saying I’m cordial to the ones I see in my local area. They are nice to me. But yea. Being part of the community was a good thing
Its a broken balance all over the place. Rural and suburban cops have little to nothing in common with metropolitan and urban/ghetto cops, but they get tarred equally.
Same with them being held to absurd standards at times, but then other times held to literally no standard or accountability at all. But you have to pick X or Y extreme party position instead of realizing both issues are happening simultaneously.

Yeah, this shit doesn’t happen if plainclothes cops who immediately open fire are themselves immediately gunned down by a well-armed citizenry.

Leave it to the Libertarian Party to always find a way to sabotage themselves.
Eh, it's the dregs trying to get back power.
Dang. That’s sucks to hear.
Good news is, the Loser Brigade continues to lose. We'll be ready to go for '24.
2 guys show up to a funeral and murder a guy, and no one shoots back.
Carrying should really be mandatory in this country.
there is zero justification for this.
so who ordered the hit?

Obviously more happened, but this was almost an afterthought article. So that more is damning against the cops.
Only BLM
How did nobody in the crowd return fire? Those cops should have been liquefied with bullets.
It wasn't a black funeral, no one came expecting niggershit.
No one expects nigger shit at Sunday mass, either, yet half the congregation is packing, anyways.

I’m all for holding them accountable when needed but the the demonization is part of the corruption of society

Amen to that
Well, we're doing this about that here in Florida.
I dont support the dogs of government. We need them but when they bite the hands that feeds them, they need to be retired.
